Timothy Gaffney

Hello everyone,
Can't believe it has been so long since I've been on here, but it has. It is amazing how fast time goes by and how many things change within two years.. or even a year for that matter. As most of you know my family suffered a severe separation from my brother Tim, who went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday of last year. Tim had been battling colon cancer which had spread through different parts of his body. When Tim was diagnosed though, the Lord came in and turned his life around and the brother whom I had known my whole life was no more, but the person that was there was a shining demonstration of Christ. I had never seen such a change in someone before, it was like looking into a picture of winter and it suddenly turning into spring! It is true the old body was there, the cancer, the scars, the torments, the pain and the reality of only having six months left to live, But the soul was completely changed. He no longer enjoyed the frivolous junk this world has to offer, he was focused on the higher things of his Heavenly Father. He started telling others about his Lord and being the father his children desperately needed. I am so grateful for my brother Tim and the impact he had on my life. I remember talking to him one day about the old clue game and how I liked that one better than the new one.. well a couple weeks later he came over to the house with an old version of the clue game, he had gone on ebay and purchased it for me. Another time was when he had my dad's car painted a beautiful metallic blue color (blue was always dad's and Tim's favorite color) without my dad knowing it. Tim always got a kick out of doing things for people regardless of what he got in return, he didn't do it for gain, he did it to make you happy and feel appreciated. I just wanted to tell you a little bit about who my oldest brother is and that he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ right now and we will see him someday, and on that day I hope to be the one to introduce you to him.

Do not let a crisis come before you put your trust in the lord, because that crisis may happen in the next moment. "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." James 4:14

Just catching up

Hello Everyone, I am very sorry I have not posted anything in the past several months.. I have been swamped with work and trying to get ready for school among many many many other things.

God has been blessing me so much with a lot of work and learning new skills :-)
I replaced my brakes yesterday and learned how to fix a water heater (turn the power off before you work on it :-P).

Well that is what has been going in my life other than God making me grow more and allowing me to see blind spots in my life.

Hope everyone is well and that God is blessing you with more blessings than you can handle :-)
God Bless.

Your brother in Christ

Hello Everyone, I promised to have posts up more often but with school and several other miscellaneous things going on I have not been able to do that and I am very sorry for that but I will try and post as often as possible.I have decided to scratch a couple post ideas but the special post I told you about is still forthcoming and I will (Lord willing) have it posted on March 25th, The reason for the date will be self explanatory. I will leave you with this passage that has blessed me immensely,
Psalm 27
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

I found this article and I wanted to share it with you my readers.

Every year, a group of Pearl Harbor survivors living in the Yakima Valley in Washington state gather to remember the attack they all survived, the Yakima-Herald reported.
As the years have gone on, only a handful of the original group of 70 survivors in the area remain, according to Carl Dry, 89, of Yakima, president of the Yakima chapter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, the paper reported.
Dry was on the east side of Oahu where the Japanese torpedo planes first hit before going on to attack Pearl Harbor 30 miles away, the paper reported.
"It was an exclusive group that lived through the first day of the war," said Dry.
"We are a dying breed, said Donald Green, 87, the Washington state chairman of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, according to the paper.
"I hate to put it that way."
The group gets together four times a year to try to keep the longstanding tradition going and to spread the message that the U.S. needs to stay vigilant always to prevent an attack, the paper reported.
When they meet, each survivor stands up to state their duty station that day, the paper reported."A few in our outfit don't want to wind it up," said Dry.
"They want to keep it going until the last man. I guess that is the way it is going to be," he said, according to the paper.

Never forget these men and women that have served our country with Honor! Within the next 20-25 years we will most likely not have these men with us anymore, Think about that next time you see a serviceman or woman and go up and thank them for their service. Their service is why we don't speak German, Japanese or another language, we ARE STILL Americans! God Bless and keep you my dear friends, Keep praying for the survival of our Nation's soul. Thank you for reading.

Trip to the Cape

Hello my readers, you may be wondering why I have a picture of a shuttle taking off but I will explain.

I was mowing a lawn today and my customer came outside with his wife, they said the shuttle was about to take off, Big deal right?? (We live in Florida and they do it quite often) but when I saw that shuttle going up into the Clear blue Sky God created and then realizing (REALLY realizing) they were going into the outer expanse of God's universe, well the thought was quite amazing to me, so I have decided to take a trip down south to the cape at the beginning of the year when the weather is nice :-). Everyone is welcome to come and I hope we can get a group together to go (Especially the folks who know what is what..hint hint Stones, Fambroughs and Fosters).
I personally have never been to the cape and would love to go see where so much History has been made. Let me know if any of you would like to go.

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

But, Lord, ’tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh, trump of the angel! Oh, voice of the Lord!
Blessed hope, blessed rest of my soul!

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

I love this song so much so I thought I would like to share it with you.
:-)
